Florida State has successfully secured commitments from both of the offensive line recruits who made official visits during the Clemson weekend.
Following the commitment of four-star Mario Nash Jr. from Kemper County on October 10, Seminole Ridge offensive lineman Daniel Pierre Louis announced his commitment to Florida State this Tuesday afternoon. Pierre Louis received his offer from the Seminoles during an unofficial visit at one of the team’s summer camps and later attracted offers from several Group of Five schools and Power Five programs, including NC State and Florida. Despite his official visit to NC State on October 12, Pierre Louis ultimately chose Florida State over the Wolfpack and Gators.
Pierre Louis strengthens Florida State’s offensive line class, which is already guard-focused with commitments from five-star Solomon Thomas, four-star Peyton Joseph, and four-star Mario Nash. His addition brings Mike Norvell’s 2025 recruiting class to 12 total commitments, boosting the Seminoles to No. 36 in the national class rankings.
Scouting report
“Daniel is a late-blooming prospect,” noted Osceola Football Analyst Patrick Burnham regarding Pierre Louis. “I think he’s more talented than his offer list reflects. As he wraps up his senior year, he’ll likely draw more attention from other Power 4 programs. He’s still developing but has excellent size, length, and athleticism. His film shows he can bend, moves his feet well, and has solid lateral quickness in pass protection.
“FSU needs offensive tackles in this recruiting class, and Pierre Louis fits that requirement. He’ll likely benefit from a redshirt year to build strength and explosiveness, but he has significant potential and should be ready to compete for playing time by his third year on campus.”
Pierre Louis, from Seminole Ridge High School in Loxahatchee, Florida, is ranked as the No. 1,006 player nationally and the No. 63 interior offensive lineman. He received offers from a variety of programs, including Florida State, NC State, Florida, Memphis, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia, along with several smaller schools.
Pierre Louis stands at 6’4.5″ and weighs 290 pounds. He’s the fourth offensive lineman in Florida State’s recruiting class, joining blue-chip recruits Mario Nash Jr., Peyton Joseph, and Solomon Thomas. As the lowest-ranked player in the class, he’s also likely the last high school offensive lineman the Seminoles will add this cycle.
Pierre Louis is expected to need a year or two to develop before making an impact, which aligns with offensive line coach Alex Atkins’ approach for players with his ranking. This class marks a solid high school offensive line haul for FSU, the largest since 2022. Unlike the 2022 group—of which only one player has contributed so far—this current class comes in with significantly higher rankings across the board, indicating more potential for long-term development and future contributions.
