The Buffalo Bills maintained their strong position in the AFC East by narrowly defeating the Miami Dolphins, 30-27, on Sunday. However, their victory came at a cost. Rookie Keon Coleman injured his wrist during Buffalo’s final drive and did not return for the remaining plays.
There’s now a chance the injury could be significant. NFL insider Dianna Russini reported that Coleman would undergo further tests on Monday to assess the severity of the injury. Head coach Sean McDermott confirmed this, noting that additional testing was still needed.
Coleman has shown improvement over his last three games, with 16 receptions totaling 216 yards and a touchdown, after initially struggling to connect with quarterback Josh Allen.
His recent performances hinted that he was finding his rhythm in the offense. Regardless of the injury’s severity, the fact that Coleman requires testing suggests he might miss some playing time. With Amari Cooper already missing a game and Curtis Samuel dealing with injuries, Buffalo’s offense could be quite limited in the coming weeks.
