The Buffalo Bills will aim to maintain their strong lead in the AFC East when they take on the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday. However, the Bills will be without breakout rookie receiver Keon Coleman, who is sidelined due to a wrist injury he sustained in the team’s recent game against the Miami Dolphins.
Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper is also listed as questionable for the matchup, dealing with a wrist issue of his own. On the Colts’ side, they are facing injury setbacks as well, with Indianapolis ruling out receiver Michael Pittman Jr. due to a back injury on Friday.
Without Pittman, the Colts, led by quarterback Joe Flacco, will be without one of their key receivers in a crucial must-win game after losing their last two.
Prior to his injury, Pittman has struggled this season, as he has totaled 30 catches for 366 yards and two touchdowns. In the last two games, he had just two catches for 30 yards. He did have his best performance of the year with Flacco in Week 4, when he finished with six catches for 113 yards.
In two career games against the Bills, Michael Pittman has recorded five receptions for 90 yards. While his numbers this season have been below his usual standard, he remains arguably the Colts’ most talented receiver. His absence on Sunday helps to level the playing field, especially with Buffalo also missing key player Keon Coleman.
Regardless, Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense will need to find a way to distribute the ball effectively if they’re without both Coleman and Cooper on Sunday.
