Major Breaking: Josh Allen loses key Bills weapon to injury vs. Colts

Bills tight end exits against the Colts in Week 10.

The injury-plagued Bills wide receiver group can’t afford another setback. Heading into Week 10, they were already without Amari Cooper and rookie Keon Coleman due to wrist injuries, and now Allen’s top young target, Dalton Kincaid, is dealing with an uncertain status moving forward.
Despite Dalton Kincaid briefly returning to action in Sunday’s game, the severity of his knee injury will need to be closely monitored. He made a short return in the third quarter of the Week 10 win but left shortly after, ending his day early. The 25-year-old tight end entered Week 10 with momentum, having seen double-digit targets from Josh Allen in the Bills’ 30-27 victory over the Miami Dolphins.

Bills offense still struggling with consistency against Colts

Oct 27, 2024; Seattle, Washington, USA; Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (86) runs for yards after the catch against the Seattle Seahawks during the second quarter at Lumen Field.

The Bills knew they’d be shorthanded, going up against a tough Colts defense in Week 10. That said, the elite QB prowess of Allen has proved to be the saving grace of the offense in recent games. He is top-five in passing touchdowns, and has 211 yards and three touchdowns.

Buffalo headed into halftime with a 20-13 lead over Indianapolis, but their offensive performance left much to be desired in terms of efficiency. Despite the loss of Dalton Kincaid, the offense managed to stay productive, relying on a strong rushing attack led by Josh Allen and James Cook.

As the Buffalo Bills prepare for a highly-anticipated Week 11 showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs, Josh Allen and the offense will need to be ready to lean on a similar game plan in case they’re missing any key receivers.
