Breaking: Yankees Are Set To Link $4 Million Deal With Dodgers World Series Hero In Free Agency

The New York Yankees enjoyed their best season in more than a decade this year. However, the Bronx Bombers fell short against the dominant Los Angeles Dodgers.

With the offseason ahead, New York has an opportunity to strengthen its roster to contend with the Dodgers and the rest of the league. Aaron Boone’s Yankees have a clear priority: bringing Juan Soto back into the fold. Beyond that, the pool of unrestricted free agents offers plenty of appealing options.

If you can’t outplay the Dodgers, why not poach some of their talent during free agency instead?

According to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi, there is “mutual interest” between the Yankees and Dodgers’ free-agent pitcher Walker Buehler regarding a potential contract.

A move to the Yankees could be a great fit for Walker Buehler. Spotrac estimates his next deal at one year and $3.9 million, though he might command a slightly higher figure on the market.

With such an affordable price tag, the Yankees might sign Buehler and then trade a pitcher like Nestor Cortes or Marcus Stroman, upgrading their rotation while also gaining prospects in the process.

Signing Buehler would also slightly weaken the Dodgers. While not a massive blow, any small crack in their armor is worth exploiting.

The fit, financials, and market dynamics align perfectly, making it a move the Yankees should seriously consider.
