In Week 14, the Buffalo Bills will aim for the top AFC seed as they take on the Los Angeles Rams. With a 10-2 record, the Bills are currently one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs for a first-round bye.
However, if Buffalo wins against the Rams and the Chiefs lose to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night, the Bills will have control of their playoff fate moving forward.
Buffalo may also get two key playmakers back in Josh Allen’s offense this Sunday. Rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman, who has been sidelined since Week 9 due to a wrist injury, is reportedly nearing a return, according to head coach Sean McDermott’s Monday press conference.
McDermott stated that Coleman was close to being activated last week but was held out for precautionary reasons.
Not only could Coleman return on Sunday, but sophomore tight end Dalton Kincaid, who has been out with a knee injury since Week 10, also seems to be close to returning.
Although Kincaid has not practiced since sustaining his injury, the Bills also opted not to place him on injured reserve, signifying they didn’t expect his injury to sideline him longer than four weeks.
Sunday’s game would be the fourth week since his injury, so it would line up with the anticipated timeline of his return. Getting two explosive weapons back with five games remaining in the season would be a massive boost for the Bills in their playoff pursuit.
