Oregon football is getting even more good news.
The Oregon football team has already enjoyed a fantastic season, and there’s even more exciting news ahead for the Ducks. According to On3, the program is set to flip a top linebacker recruit from Miami. Gavin Nix has announced his commitment to join the Oregon football program.
Gavin Nix, a four-star linebacker recruit previously committed to the Miami Hurricanes, is now joining the Oregon Ducks. This is a significant victory for head coach Dan Lanning, who has the team thriving with an undefeated season. Up next, the Ducks are gearing up to face Penn State in the Big Ten Championship.
Nix shared, “Learning about Oregon’s defensive style and the fact that the coaches have some of the best resumes in the business really stood out to me. Coach Lanning and B Mike are excellent coaches with a wealth of experience working with players like me. That really draws me to Oregon. I trust them to develop me and help me chase my dreams. They have an incredible understanding of the game.”
Nix’s commitment makes him the 17th player to join Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class.
