As they prepared for the Big Ten championship game, the Oregon Ducks landed a top-tier recruit from the Class of 2026.
Four-star linebacker Tristan Phillips announced his verbal commitment to Oregon on Saturday night, selecting the Ducks over other contenders like Washington, Oklahoma, and Arizona State.
Phillips, a native of Ventura, California, is ranked as the No. 29 linebacker and the No. 350 overall player in the nation, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Oregon’s top-rated recruiting class for 2026 has grown to 10 commits, featuring an impressive mix of talent. Among the commits are Phillips, five-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene (California), and five-star tight end and dual-sport athlete Kendre Harrison (North Carolina). The class also includes four-star running back Tradarian Ball (Texas);
four-star defensive linemen Bott Mulitalo (Utah), Tomuhini Topui (California), and Tony Cumberland (Oregon); four-star quarterback Jonas Williams (Illinois); and three-star defensive linemen Viliami Moala (Utah) and Dutch Horisk (California).
