Breaking: Another Star Player Set To Betray Astros For $200 Million Deal With AL Powerhouse

The Alex Bregman sweepstakes have become one of the most fascinating stories of the offseason. While teams such as the Houston Astros and New York Yankees appear to be out of the race, clubs like the Detroit Tigers, Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, and a few others continue to pursue the nine-year veteran

. Kerry Miller from Bleacher Report recently predicted that Bregman will leave Houston and sign a lucrative deal with the Boston Red Sox, potentially worth close to $200 million. Miller pointed out that while adding another bat could limit the playing time of top prospects like Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer, and Kristian Campbell, it would be a good problem to have—too many talented players. Financially, Miller emphasized that the Red Sox have the means to sign Bregman, with an estimated payroll of $168 million and annual revenues that could allow them to approach a $300 million budget.

This puts them in a strong position to outbid Detroit. With reports suggesting the Red Sox might use Bregman at second base, Boston appears to be the frontrunner for the star infielder. If Bregman joins the team, the most logical move would be to keep Rafael Devers at third base and Triston Casas at first, rather than shifting Devers to first. Adding Bregman would undoubtedly energize Boston’s lineup.
