Oregon football lands the top inside offensive lineman in the portal.
Oregon football is strengthening its roster after the Rose Bowl defeat to Ohio State, and has now added former USC standout Emmanuel Pregnon. According to Hayes Fawcett of On3.com, Pregnon is the top-rated inside offensive lineman in the transfer portal.
After securing a top running back from the portal, the Ducks are now bolstering their offensive line to provide better protection up front.
Although quarterback Dillon Gabriel has played his final game for the Ducks, the program must find a new leader under center.
However, strengthening the offensive front seven is an attractive prospect for quarterbacks in the transfer portal. Even with the addition of former USC star Emmanuel Pregnon, it may not be enough to draw in other quarterbacks.
The top quarterback in the transfer portal has already made a decision and committed to a university. For example, John Mateer made waves by choosing Oklahoma.
While other quarterbacks are still available, the options could be limited for the Ducks. However, Pregnon may already know who he’ll be protecting as the season approaches.
