Syracuse, N.Y. — Four-star edge rusher Jarius Rodgers announced his verbal commitment to Syracuse on Monday, marking the Orange’s second four-star pledge in their 2026 recruiting class.
Rodgers is ranked as the No. 323 player in the nation according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, making him Syracuse’s highest-ranked commit in the class so far. His ranking among the four major recruiting websites places him as high as No. 175 in 247’s individual rankings, where he is recognized as the No. 17 edge rusher in the country and the No. 23 player in Florida.
Rodgers revealed his commitment to Syracuse on Instagram, sharing that during his recruitment, he received offers from top programs such as Notre Dame, Nebraska, Kentucky, Iowa State, SMU, Florida State, and Illinois.
Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 193 pounds, Rodgers played last season for Fleming Island High School in Florida.
As reported by MaxPreps.com, Rodgers played a key role in helping his team achieve an 8-4 record last season. He registered 51 tackles over 12 games, including 7.5 tackles for loss.
