An increasing number of top-rated prospects from the 2026 and 2027 classes are including Syracuse football in their list of finalists.
In previous articles, I’ve highlighted how the Orange has made it to the top five or top 10 for several four-star recruits, and I have more updates to share in this article.
Let’s begin with the 2027 class. Last month, four-star athlete/defensive back Gabriel Jenkins from Imani Christian Academy in Pittsburgh added Syracuse to his top eight, according to his X page. Other schools that made the cut include Michigan State, Maryland, Kentucky, West Virginia, Penn State, Pittsburgh, and UCF.
Jenkins, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 186 pounds, was offered a scholarship by Syracuse last October. Currently, he ranks No. 52 nationally, No. 6 at cornerback, and No. 3 in Pennsylvania, according to On3.
