Veteran closer Kenley Jansen announced on Instagram Tuesday that he has signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels.
Kenley Jansen, 37, played the past two seasons with the Boston Red Sox. He shared multiple reports of his deal on his Instagram story, though the Angels have yet to officially announce the signing, as it is still pending a physical.

In 2024, Jansen posted a 4-2 record with a 3.29 ERA and 27 saves across 54 relief outings. A four-time All-Star, he holds a career record of 49-36 with a 2.57 ERA. Among active MLB players, he leads in appearances (871), games finished (653), and saves (447).
The veteran right-hander debuted in MLB with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2010 and was part of their 2020 World Series championship team. He also spent the 2022 season with the Atlanta Braves.
