The Detroit Tigers have agreed to a minor-league contract with experienced utility player David Hensley, as reported by Houston TV journalist Ari Alexander on Thursday evening.

Hensley, who will turn 29 in March, developed within the Houston Astros organization and had a short stint in the major leagues in both 2022 and 2023. He recorded two hits during the 2022 World Series and even made a start as the designated hitter in one game.
