Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is living his best life. After having his most impressive season in 2024, being named NFL MVP, and getting engaged to girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld, things are going great for him. Now that the season has wrapped up, Steinfeld is opening up about the proposal, calling it “magical.”
In a chat with WhoWhatWear, the 28-year-old actress shared some intimate details about her relationship, which is usually kept private. She revealed that she was completely caught off guard by the proposal, remembering feeling “blacked out” while Allen popped the question.
She also appreciated that Allen made sure she was dressed nicely for the special moment. “I’m so grateful he did it the way he did so that I looked good, and we have these photos that we’ll treasure forever, and I won’t look back and think, ‘What was I wearing?’” she explained. “We were in Malibu, my happy place, and it was magical. That’s the word,” she said.

“I thought we were just going out for a date night, but the dress I wore ended up matching the flowers in the beautiful setup,” Steinfeld added. “I want to turn that photo into a wallpaper and put it in my room.”
Steinfeld also discussed why she and Allen prefer to keep their relationship private. “When you realize how much of your life is already out there, you really start to appreciate the little things that aren’t,” she said. “It just makes everything feel extra special, and it’s something just for us.”
She even took a playful jab at the Bills’ AFC rivals, joking when asked to name the teams in the division: “You got the Buffalo Bills and the Bills’ three sons,” counting on her fingers—referring to the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots. Clearly, she’s proud of her MVP fiancé.
