According to a March 5 announcement, Syracuse basketball’s four-star and five-star recruiting targets have earned Naismith All-America honors for their outstanding performances during the 2024-25 season.
Among the honorees is 2026 five-star shooting guard Jordan Smith Jr., who earned a spot on the Naismith All-America third team. Smith, a standout junior at St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Chantilly, Va., is considered a top-five national prospect. He was also recognized as an All
The Orange coaching staff is actively pursuing Smith, with a strong recruitment effort. He visited Syracuse unofficially last September and currently holds a scholarship offer from the team.-American during his sophomore year in 2023-24.
Three high-level prospects, who hold offers from Syracuse, earned honorable mention recognition for the Naismith All-America teams.
These players are 2026 four-star point guard Miles Sadler, 2026 five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr., and 2027 five-star forward Baba Oladotun. Additionally, 2026 five-star point guard Dylan Mingo, who has caught the attention of Syracuse’s coaching staff, also received an honorable mention.

Sadler, a top-30 national prospect, is a junior at CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix, where three of his teammates also hold scholarship offers from Syracuse.
Rippey, a top-20 national prospect and standout at Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J., is another priority recruit for the Orange in the 2026 cycle. He took an unofficial visit to Syracuse in February 2024.
Oladotun, ranked No. 1 in the 2027 class by several recruiting services, is a sophomore at James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, Md.
Mingo, a top-10 national prospect, is a junior at Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y. This school is also the alma mater of four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony, a member of the Orange’s highly-ranked 2025 class, which is currently No. 10 nationally according to the 247Sports Composite.
Another member of Syracuse’s 2025 class is four-star forward Sadiq White Jr., a top-30 national prospect who has been performing well in his senior year at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Both White and Anthony have been selected for the Iverson Classic All-America game on May 3 in Hampton, Va.
It’s a bit surprising that White didn’t earn at least an honorable mention spot for the Naismith All-America teams.
