Former LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton has agreed to a two-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs during free agency. This comes one day after fellow LSU alum Donte Jackson signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. Fulton’s contract with the Chiefs is worth $20 million, with $15 million of that guaranteed.
Kristian Fulton was a two-year starter at cornerback for LSU in 2018 and 2019. The New Orleans native played a crucial role in the Tigers’ historic national championship win in 2019 and was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the 61st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Over four seasons with the Titans, Fulton played over 2,300 snaps, recording four interceptions. Before the 2024 season, he signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Chargers. He started 15 games in 2024, allowing 65.2% of targets to be completed for 491 yards and six touchdowns, while intercepting one pass and breaking up five others.

With Donte Jackson joining the Chargers, the team decided to part ways with Fulton. He quickly signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, who have won three Super Bowls in the last six years.
While the Chiefs already have a standout young corner in Trent McDuffie, they sought to add depth to the position. Jaylen Watson, a seventh-round pick in the 2022 draft, has developed into a solid player, but adding Fulton provides them with another option at cornerback. Fulton is the second former LSU cornerback to sign a multi-year deal with an AFC West team this offseason.
