Just In: Bills Signs Another Top Talented Weapon To Boost Team’s Upgrade

The Buffalo Bills have been looking to upgrade Josh Allen’s supporting cast this offseason. While some speculated about a big-name addition like Tee Higgins, a top-tier target was never the most realistic option. As free agency began, the Bills moved quickly to secure a speedy playmaker in former Los Angeles Chargers receiver Joshua Palmer. The 25-year-old, known for his ability to create separation both downfield and on short routes, joins Buffalo on a three-year, $36 million deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Palmer now strengthens a receiving corps that includes Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Curtis Samuel, while Amari Cooper and Mack Hollins remain free agents. This move follows Sunday’s major news that Allen is signing a six-year, $330 million contract extension—an average of $55 million per year. However, ESPN reports that the quarterback market could have pushed his salary to $70 million annually, meaning Allen might be leaving $90 million on the table over the length of the deal.

Josh Allen effectively gives the Bills a $90 million discount, and in return, the team continues to surround him with weapons. One of those additions is Joshua Palmer, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound receiver who joins Buffalo after four productive seasons with the Chargers. Over the past three years, Palmer has consistently topped 580 receiving yards and 38 catches, proving to be a reliable target in the passing game. Now in Buffalo, he provides Allen with a legitimate deep threat on every play.

With reliable hands and strong route-running skills, Joshua Palmer brings a physical edge to his game—an often underrated aspect of his skill set. The Bills needed a receiver with that toughness, and in Palmer, they’ve found their guy.
