Breaking: Ex- Pittsburgh Steelers OL Founds a New Home With Another Great Team

Kendrick Green, the former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman, is joining the Buffalo Bills after two seasons with the Houston Texans.

Although he played as a center for the Steelers, Green is expected to play guard for the rest of his career, a position where he feels more at ease. He has shared that his struggles in Pittsburgh were partly due to his discomfort playing center, which impacted his early NFL performance.

With the Texans, Green was mainly used as a backup, filling in only when needed. A torn meniscus kept him sidelined for a significant portion of his first season with the team.

The Steelers drafted Green in the third round of the 2021 draft out of Illinois. Houston moved him to left guard in an attempt to maximize his potential, hoping for better results than Pittsburgh had seen during his first two years. However, after a disappointing start to his career, the Steelers traded him in August 2023, considering him a failed draft pick.
