While some still favor the Milwaukee Brewers as repeat divisional champions, and others are eyeing the Cincinnati Reds as a potential surprise winner, many expect the Cubs to secure enough wins to make the postseason.
However, succeeding in October presents a different challenge. As spring training draws to a close, the Cubs’ chances of making a deep playoff run appear uncertain. In fact, despite six teams from the National League advancing to the postseason, Chicago ranks seventh in terms of the best odds to win the World Series.
