Cody White, the former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, is returning to the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year contract. This will mark White’s third season with Seattle, a team he joined in 2023.
White had a career-best performance last season against the Los Angeles Rams. When DK Metcalf went down with an injury, the Seahawks relied on White to step up.
He recorded two receptions for 44 yards, including a crucial 28-yard catch on third-and-long to extend the game-tying drive in regulation. This impressive play came right after White had blocked a Rams punt.
White previously spent three years with the Steelers, where he contributed to special teams as a gunner and spent much of his time on the practice squad supporting the scout team.
His three-year stint with the Steelers ended in 2023 due to a hamstring injury. However, his special teams background allowed him to quickly find a role with the Seahawks. Now, he returns with the goal of securing a permanent spot on the team.
