GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) – The Green Bay Packers are making another move in free agency, bringing in a former All-Pro and Super Bowl champion to strengthen their wide receiver corps.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman has agreed to a one-year deal with the Packers.
The 27-year-old receiver and kick-return specialist is well known for his speed. Originally drafted by the Chiefs, Hardman spent most of his career in Kansas City before a brief stint with the New York Jets in 2023, eventually being traded back to the Chiefs.

Last season, he struggled to make a significant impact, recording just 12 catches for 90 yards in 12 games. His season ended on Nov. 29 when he was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.
In addition to his receiving stats, Hardman contributed on the ground with five carries for 62 yards and a touchdown. He also played a role on special teams, returning 20 punts and five kickoffs.
Over his career, Hardman has totaled 178 receptions for 2,302 yards and 16 touchdowns.
