Class of 2026 four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley took to social media on Sunday to announce that he has narrowed his recruitment down to three schools, and Florida State is not among them, despite the Seminoles showing interest in the highly-ranked signal caller heading into next season.
Bentley, a native of Celina, Texas, was offered by Florida State in January 2025 and visited the campus earlier in March during the school’s annual legacy weekend. He also took a recruiting road trip in March, which included visits to LSU, FSU, and Georgia.
Since the end of March, Bentley has scheduled official visits to three of his finalists for this fall, as reported by On3.com’s recruiting analyst Hayes Fawcett. His official visit dates are:
- Georgia: June 6-8
- Oklahoma: June 13-15
- LSU: June 20-22
Bentley is currently ranked as the No. 5 quarterback in the Class of 2026.
Florida State currently holds the No. 14 recruiting class for the Class of 2026 with eight commitments, but they have yet to secure a quarterback for the class. Bowe Bentley, a 6’2”, 200-pound signal caller, was the only quarterback expected on campus during Legacy weekend. However, the Seminoles have extended offers to five-star quarterback Keisean Henderson and four-star quarterback Landon Duckworth this past spring, and they are still actively pursuing a quarterback to lead the offense in #Tribe26.
