Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Miles Boykin has found a new home with the Chicago Bears, signing a one-year deal, as reported by PennLive.com’s Nick Farabaugh. This move marks a “homecoming” for Boykin, who grew up just 30 minutes outside Chicago in Tinley Park, Illinois.
Boykin played for the Steelers for two seasons (2022-2023) but spent last year with the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks, though he didn’t appear in any regular-season games. In his two years with Pittsburgh, Boykin recorded 5 catches for 28 yards, primarily contributing on special teams.
Boykin, who began his NFL career as a third-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2019 draft, had a decent start with Baltimore, recording over 190 receiving yards in two seasons. In 2020, he posted 19 catches for 266 yards and 4 touchdowns. However, he never found a significant offensive role in Baltimore or with the Steelers, playing under 15% of offensive snaps in both 2022 and 2023. Instead, he excelled on special teams, setting career highs with 207 snaps in 2022 and 316 in 2023.

After brief stints with the Giants and Seahawks, Boykin now returns to the NFC with the Bears. The Steelers, who had replaced Boykin with Ben Skowronek and added Scotty Miller to their receiving corps, have made changes to their special teams and receiving groups this offseason.
Boykin has tallied 38 catches for 498 yards and 7 touchdowns over his six-year NFL career. He was a standout player at Notre Dame, finishing his senior season with 59 receptions for 872 yards and 8 touchdowns.
