Breaking: Bills Fans Breathe Easy After Positive Health Update on Co-Owner Kim Pegula**

Kim Pegula, co-owner and president of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres, continues to recover after experiencing a sudden and serious health crisis in June 2022. At that time, Kim suffered a cardiac arrest at home and required immediate CPR from one of her daughters until paramedics arrived to restore her heartbeat. The event left her facing significant challenges with language and memory, though her family has shared that she is making steady progress.

As of the latest updates, Kim is still on the road to recovery, though it remains a slow process. Her daughter, Jessica Pegula, expressed that Kim is “progressing well,” but it has been a lengthy journey with some ongoing hurdles. Despite these health challenges, Kim has been able to stay involved with her business and family life, although her responsibilities have been adjusted as she continues to recover.

In the aftermath of the incident, her husband, Terry Pegula, took over the management of the Pegula family’s sports interests, including the Buffalo Bills. The family’s ownership of the team was placed into a trust, which is managed by Terry and business partner Bob Long. Additionally, Terry has been working on succession planning by involving their daughter, Laura Pegula, in more prominent roles within the ownership structure, including attending NFL meetings.

The Pegulas are also committed to diversifying their ownership group. In December 2024, they welcomed new limited partners, including Sue McCollum and Theresia Gouw, both of whom are female executives. This move highlights the Pegulas’ ongoing commitment to enhancing female representation within their sports organizations and ensuring a strong leadership team as they move forward with their franchises.
