After previously releasing a Top 10 list, Khary Adams appears to have trimmed his choices even further.
The 2026 cornerback out of Maryland still has Notre Dame in the running, which comes as no surprise.
Adams, a standout from Loyola Blakefield, made another trip to South Bend this past weekend for a visit.
“It was good,” said the 6-foot-2, 180-pounder in a conversation with Irish Sports Daily. “I had a lot of fun. We got to see everything — the campus, the practice — I really got the full experience.”
Having visited Notre Dame twice last year, Adams noted that this visit gave him even more insight.
“This time, I got to meet with the academic advisors,” he explained. “That was new. They talked about all the support available there.”
Academics will play a key role in his final decision.
“I want to go to a place that offers a strong education and helps set me up for life beyond football,” Adams said.
He spent a lot of time with defensive backs coach Mike Mickens and other members of the Notre Dame coaching staff.
“They made it clear I’m a priority,” Adams said. “They said they need me on the team and that coming to Notre Dame is about more than just football.”
He also got to watch the Irish in action during practice.
“It was very well-run,” he observed.
While in South Bend, Adams spent some time with fellow defensive back prospect Nicholas Reddish from North Carolina. Although he didn’t interact much with current players, Adams left with a strong impression of the team culture.
“I feel like I’d fit in well,” he said. “They’re good guys who are serious about football.”
Looking ahead, Adams plans to complete his visit schedule before making a decision, likely sometime in June.
Next up is an unofficial visit to Oregon on Thursday. He also named four schools that will get official visits: Notre Dame, South Carolina, Penn State, and Oregon.
