Virginia Tech lands home in Commitment Another three-star recruit to Strengthen Depth

Virginia Tech football has secured its first in-state commitment for the 2026 recruiting class with the addition of Joshua Pittman, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound EDGE/linebacker from Kings Fork High School in Suffolk, Virginia. Pittman, a three-star recruit, chose the Hokies over offers from programs such as Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Indiana, and West Virginia.

He made his commitment shortly after attending Virginia Tech’s annual spring game, where numerous recruits were present despite inclement weather. Pittman is known for his length and athleticism, qualities that align with the current recruiting strategy under head coach Brent Pry. His primary recruiter, Xavier Adibi, was a standout linebacker at Virginia Tech and shares a similar background.

Pittman is expected to develop further physically and could add up to 30 pounds of muscle upon joining the team. He becomes the third commitment in the Hokies’ 2026 class, joining kicker John Love and four-star wide receiver Carnell Warren from South Carolina.

This commitment underscores Virginia Tech’s continued efforts to strengthen its recruiting pipeline within the state, aligning with head coach Brent Pry’s strategy to build a robust in-state roster.
