Adrian Autry assumed leadership of the Syracuse basketball program from the legendary Jim Boeheim in March of 2023. Under Autry’s direction, the team has secured two highly coveted verbal commitments from five-star prospects at the high school level: one for the 2024 class and another for the 2025 cycle.
This marks a notable shift in recruiting momentum, considering Syracuse’s relatively subdued performance in recruiting since joining the Atlantic Coast Conference.
In addition to these high school commitments, Autry’s inaugural season as head coach saw a commendable performance on the court, with the Orange achieving a 20-12 overall record in 2023-24, marking their first instance of securing at least 20 regular-season wins in a decade.
While Autry’s impact on recruiting is evident, it’s important to acknowledge the contributions of his top-notch coaching staff in this endeavor. Notably, Autry and his team have also successfully recruited several college transfers, further bolstering the squad’s talent pool.
The latest addition to Syracuse’s recruiting success is the commitment of 2025 five-star forward Sadiq White Jr. from Charlotte, N.C. White’s decision underscores the program’s growing appeal and signals a promising future for Syracuse basketball. As anticipation builds for the team’s return to the NCAA Tournament, Autry and his staff continue to excel on the recruiting front, laying a strong foundation for future success.
