Josh Allen, the standout quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of playing in the NBA. His comments came in response to remarks made by former NBA player and current ESPN analyst Austin Rivers, sparking discussions among NFL and NBA players.
Rivers suggested that basketball players might find it easier to transition to football than vice versa, leading to some disagreement among athletes from both leagues.
While many NFL players who have dabbled in both sports, such as Antonio Gates, Jimmy Graham, and others, have typically come from tight end positions, Allen believes he could hold his own on the basketball court. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing around 240 pounds, Allen’s size could certainly be an advantage in basketball.
Interestingly, he was the top scorer for Firebaugh High School, despite being smaller and lighter at 180 pounds. Allen’s confidence in his ability to contribute on the NBA court suggests that his athleticism and skills might translate well across different sports, but the true impact remains uncertain.
