Aleah Goodman is transitioning from her role on the Oregon State women’s basketball coaching staff to a similar position at Washington. This move marks the departure of the former Beavers all-conference guard, who had returned to OSU as an assistant coach just last spring. She’s the second assistant to leave the program this offseason, following assistant head coach Jonas Chatterton’s departure to Oklahoma in May.
Washington had a vacancy after Katie Faulkner left her assistant’s position to become head coach at Pepperdine in April. Goodman now joins the coaching staff at UW under Tina Langley, who has been coaching the Huskies for the past three years. With a 16-15 record this past season, the Huskies are gearing up for their move to the Big Ten next basketball season.
Meanwhile, Oregon State, fresh off an Elite Eight run in March, is undergoing changes for the 2024-25 season. With a revamped roster due to the departure of eight players to the transfer portal, the Beavers are set to compete in the West Coast Conference next season.
Goodman, who played for OSU from 2017-21 and was drafted in the third round of the 2021 WNBA draft, has chosen a coaching career over playing professionally. Prior to joining Oregon State’s coaching staff, she served as the director of recruiting and player development at Duke for two years.
As Oregon State looks to fill the void left by Goodman’s departure and that of another assistant, Deven Hunter remains the sole assistant coach for now.
