Virginia Tech News: Huge decision looming for Three-star defensive edge major contender..

One Class of 2026 recruit is early in his process, while a Class of 2025 edge is taking his time making his decision.

Virginia Tech’s recruiting efforts for the Class of 2025 have seen significant success under football coach Brent Pry, securing commitments from 14 recruits, including two four-star prospects, with 10 hailing from Virginia. Looking ahead to the Class of 2026 and beyond, Pry aims to further bolster recruiting within the Commonwealth.

As of now, the Hokies have secured a commitment from Peton Falzone, a quarterback from Nazareth, Pa., for the Class of 2026, highlighting ongoing efforts to attract top talent. Among the prospects still on their radar, local standout JaySean Richardson, a 6-foot-0, 280-pound lineman from Richmond, Va., has garnered significant attention with 15 offers, including one from Virginia Tech. Richardson, who visited Blacksburg during April’s Spring Practice, is also being courted by ACC rivals Wake Forest and Virginia.

Another key target is Yvan Kemajou, a three-star defensive edge from Burtonsville, Maryland, who remains undecided for the Class of 2025. Virginia Tech remains a contender for Kemajou, who visited Blacksburg in late June after a series of visits to other schools earlier in the month.

His potential addition would strengthen Virginia Tech’s defensive line, complementing commitments from edge rushers Sherrod Henderson and Zeke Chinwike.

Heading into the fall season, recruits like Richardson and Kemajou will continue evaluating their options through game day visits, shaping the future of Virginia Tech football’s defensive prowess.
