Kentucky wildcats transfer commit another talented fast rising 5-star

One of the top high school recruits has been offered by Mark Pope and the Wildcats.

Mark Pope has been diligently preparing for his first year in Lexington while also focusing on future prospects for the program. He and his team have traveled across the country to scout top high school talent and have extended offers to many standout players.

Recently, Caleb Holt, a recruit from the class of 2026, announced on Twitter that he has received an offer from the Kentucky Wildcats. Holt, who is also courted by prestigious programs like Duke, North Carolina, Alabama, Kansas, Auburn, and Tennessee, is a 6-foot-5 small forward.

Rated as a 5-star recruit by all major platforms, Holt is currently ranked No. 3 in his class by On3, ESPN, and 247 Sports, and No. 4 by Rivals. He now plays for Grayson High School in Georgia after transferring from Buckhorn High School in Alabama.

Holt was named Alabama’s 2024 Mr. Basketball after an impressive season where he averaged 20.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals, and 2.4 assists. He led Buckhorn to consecutive Class 6A state championships and was named MVP of both tournaments as a freshman and sophomore.

With plenty of time to visit schools and refine his choices, it’s encouraging to see Kentucky actively participating in the recruiting scene.
