Breaking: Another South Carolina’s Highly-Rated Fans Man signed a blockbuster deal with the team..

South Carolina basketball alum BJ Mack has signed a deal with Club Baloncesto Moron in the Primero FEB (Federacion Espanola de Baloncesto) in Spain.

South Carolina basketball fans enjoyed one of the most successful seasons in the program’s history last year. Apart from the 2016-2017 Final Four appearance, the 2023-2024 Gamecocks had their best season since the 1990s, when they made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances as a 2-seed and 3-seed. Before that, the team’s performance had not been matched since the Frank McGuire era in the 1960s and 1970s.

Under coach Lamont Paris, the team tied the program record with a 26-8 record and finished in a tie for 2nd place in the SEC.

The season was driven by newcomers, with freshman Collin Murray-Boyles and a group of experienced transfers making up most of the rotation. One of these transfers, BJ Mack, a native of Charlotte, had a notable final college season with the Gamecocks.

Recently, it was announced that Mack will continue his basketball career with Club Baloncesto Moron in Spain’s Preimero FEB (Federacion Espanola de Baloncesto).

In the past two decades, CB Moron has advanced through Spain’s basketball tiers, moving from the 6th tier to the 2nd. Having won the 3rd tier in the 2023-2024 season, this will be their first year in Spain’s 2nd division.

During his single season with South Carolina, Mack averaged 13.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, including five 20-point performances, ranking 2nd on the team behind guard Meechie Johnson. His contributions were particularly impactful in the pick-and-pop offense, creating challenges for opposing defenses with his ability to shoot from outside.
