It’s a one-year deal for the second-year QB out of Oregon
The Buffalo Bills are making a roster adjustment ahead of their final preseason game this Saturday. According to Tom Pelissero, quarterback Anthony Brown Jr. is joining the team in Orchard Park, NY.
Brown, who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens in 2022, has seen action in two games, including one start. After his stint with the Ravens, he spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders this summer.
The former University of Oregon and Boston College quarterback now joins a Bills roster that also includes newly signed Ben DiNucci and Josh Allen. With quarterback Mitch Trubisky injured during the Week 2 preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, general manager Brandon Beane needed to quickly find a replacement for the final preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.

At 26 years old, Brown is still relatively inexperienced in the NFL, but his two game appearances are notable. During his senior year at Oregon, he had a strong season, throwing for 2,989 yards with 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions, and adding 658 rushing yards and nine touchdowns.
Brown’s future with the Bills beyond Saturday remains uncertain, partly due to injury issues and his overall performance. Before signing Brown, the Bills faced the possibility of having to rely on Ben DiNucci for the entire preseason finale.
