The Buffalo Bills, like all NFL teams, are making their roster cuts as they prepare to finalize their lineup by August 27th. Each team must reduce their roster to 53 players before the regular season begins.
Every year, there are unexpected cuts and surprising additions to the 53-man roster, and this year is no different for the Bills. They’ve decided to release a veteran player today.
Taylor Hartman reported earlier that the Bills are aiming to stay competitive in the AFC and NFL this season despite losing some key players in the offseason. With prominent players like star receiver Stefon Diggs now on other teams, the Bills are expected to experience a slight decline this year.

As teams finalize their rosters, Buffalo is making changes, including parting ways with quarterback Anthony Brown. Brown is among several players being released, including wide receiver Damiere Byrd, linebacker Deion Jones, defensive end Rondell Bothroyd, and cornerback Kyron Brown.
Deion Jones, who has had a notable NFL career, is among those being cut. Drafted in the second round by the Atlanta Falcons in 2016, Jones had a standout rookie season and earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2017. Over six seasons with the Falcons, he accumulated 652 tackles, 11 sacks, and 11 interceptions. After being traded to the Cleveland Browns in October 2022, he played 11 games, recording 44 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
Once considered one of the top middle linebackers in the league, Jones is now not making the final roster, drawing attention from fans.
