When asked about James’ comment after the game, Allen simply replied, “That’s pretty cool,” as reported by Dan Fetes.
Many consider Allen to be one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, alongside Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, and he demonstrated his skills against the Jaguars by completing 23 of 30 passes for 263 yards and four touchdowns. Additionally, he rushed six times for 44 yards.
Allen has faced criticism in the past for turnovers, but this season he has yet to throw an interception, a significant improvement from last year’s total of 18. With his strong performance, he is making an early case for the MVP award, although there’s still a long way to go.
This season, Allen appears to be playing the best football of his career, defying expectations despite the absence of Stefon Diggs. Instead, he’s effectively distributing the ball among his receivers.
