Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff had an outstanding performance on Monday, guiding his team to a convincing 42-29 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at home.
Goff was in peak form, racking up 292 passing yards and two touchdowns while completing all 18 of his pass attempts.
As noted by Field Yates of ESPN, Goff established a new NFL record for the most completed pass attempts in a single game without an incompletion.
That stellar performance from the former No. 1 overall pick also received a perfect response from Goff’s wife, Christen Harper Goff.
“LETS GOOOOOO,” she captioned an Instagram Story featuring an ESPN graphic highlighting Jared’s impressive stats.
Jared’s evening became even more memorable with a surprising receiving touchdown in the fourth quarter, catching a pass from wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown that increased Detroit’s lead to 15 points.
The Lions couldn’t have asked for a better way to head into their Week 5 bye. After a disappointing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2, Detroit has now won two consecutive games, with their victory over the previously undefeated Seahawks sending a strong message to the league.
Jared and the Lions will return from their bye on October 13, facing Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington.
