The Buffalo Bills defense, for the first time in 2024, looked like a group that had been dealt a series of key defensive blows on Sunday Night Football.
In the team’s 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo’s injuries to linebacker Matt Milano, cornerback Taron Johnson, and linebacker Terrel Bernard were apparent.
So much so that it appears Buffalo is eager to try out some of their injured players on the practice field right after the loss.
“I expect Terrel Bernard to practice at some point this week, but Taron Johnson is more of a question mark,” Bills head coach Sean McDermott stated.
Johnson is a first-team All-Pro slot corner and is regarded as one of the greatest in the league at his position. Getting him back on the field is extremely important for the secondary and the defense as a whole.
Bernard was regarded as the best available linebacker when Milano tore his triceps during the preseason.
Both players’ return is a significant plus for the franchise going forward.
