Breaking: Another Syracuse Top Talented 4-star,has officially Declare his intension

Four-star shooting guard and top-30 national prospect Kiyan Anthony is planning to make his college decision next month and may visit Syracuse basketball before announcing his commitment.

According to insiders Adam Zagoria and Sam Lance at zagsblog.com, Anthony “plans to visit Auburn and Syracuse officially before he makes his decision.”

On Tuesday, the 6-foot-5 Anthony revealed his final three schools: Syracuse, Southern California, and Auburn. He previously had a top six that included Ohio State, Rutgers, and Florida State, but those options have been eliminated.

The talented 2025 prospect is the son of Orange legend and future Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony and is currently a senior at Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.

Reports indicate that Kiyan Anthony aims to finalize his college choice in November, ahead of the 2024-25 school year at Long Island Lutheran. He recently took an official visit to Southern Cal, while he has yet to visit Auburn. Anthony officially visited Syracuse last October, where he received a scholarship offer in November 2022.

Syracuse basketball may get another visit from 2025 four-star Kiyan Anthony.

Four-star Kiyan Anthony, who has 'Cuse in his final three, plans to officially visit Syracuse basketball for a second time.

As of July 1, 2023, high school prospects can take an unlimited number of official visits to college campuses, with a limit of one per school, or two if there has been a head-coaching change. However, in men’s basketball, players can take a second official visit to the same school in a different academic year, allowing Anthony to schedule another trip to Syracuse this fall.

In early September, during the fall recruiting period, Anthony had an in-home visit with the Syracuse coaching staff. Orange coaches have also scouted him extensively on the AAU circuit while he played for Team Melo in Nike’s EYBL league.

Both Auburn and USC are strong contenders in Anthony’s recruitment, but if he doesn’t visit Auburn before making his decision, it may come down to Syracuse and Southern Cal.

After announcing his final three, I spoke with analysts who noted that Anthony remains open to all options, with one source mentioning that he hasn’t ruled out any of the schools yet. For what it’s worth, there are three predictions in favor of Syracuse from On3 and Rivals.com, though those were made in late spring.
