Shuts down offer over breaks down upcoming Oregon State official
It’s homecoming weekend in Corvallis, and Oregon State is gearing up to enhance their 2025 recruiting class with several targets visiting for official trips. After missing out on 4-star quarterback Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, a Cal commit, the Beavers are looking to secure another quarterback, and they may have their sights set on 3-star Tristan Ti’a from Pleasanton, CA.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, Ti’a holds offers from Boston College, UNLV, and Colorado State but will take his first official visit to Oregon State. He expressed a long-standing affinity for the school, noting, “I can’t really explain it honestly, I’ve always just liked the school, and their colors are a good bonus. I do like the stadium a lot as well.”
In addition to the schools that have offered him, Utah and Washington State are also in the mix for Ti’a. He’s particularly excited about his trip to Corvallis, saying, “(Looking forward) to being on campus and experiencing the Oregon State love on an official visit.”
Ryan Gunderson and JR Moala have been leading Ti’a’s recruitment for the Beavers, with Gunderson fostering a solid relationship with him since Ti’a’s sophomore year. “Great coach and great guy, I really like him!” Ti’a shared about Gunderson. He also has a positive impression of Coach Moala, whom he met during an unofficial visit after a 7-on-7 tournament.
Ti’a has had an impressive start to his senior season at Amador Valley, completing nearly 80% of his passes with 19 touchdowns and only two interceptions. He’s averaging 280 yards per game through the air and has rushed for 494 yards and nine additional touchdowns in just seven games.
With a legacy of successful quarterbacks from Pleasanton, like Sean Mannion, Beaver fans are hopeful they might see another local talent donning the Black and Orange soon.
