Breaking: Saints receives another devastating season ending injury of their major player

New Orleans Saints star cornerback Paulson Adebo has learned how long he will be out after suffering a significant injury during Thursday night’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Adebo underwent surgery on Friday morning for a broken femur, and his recovery timeline is estimated to be between four and five months, according to ESPN.

This timeline suggests that Adebo could return to full health around the time his contract with New Orleans expires, making him an unrestricted free agent.

The injury occurred when Adebo attempted to tackle Broncos running back Javonte Williams. As he led with his shoulder to bring Williams down, he largely missed the tackle, and the impact with the turf caused him immediate pain.

Adebo was one of the Saints’ standout defenders this season, recording 52 total tackles and three interceptions.

However, New Orleans’ strong start has fizzled in recent weeks. The Saints began the season with two victories, scoring a combined 91 points. Since then, they have lost five consecutive games, failing to score more than 27 points in any of those contests.

With Adebo now sidelined, the Saints face an additional challenge in their effort to turn their season around. Fortunately, their schedule does ease up in the second half, with upcoming games against the Panthers, Browns, Giants, and Rams.
