Bills LB Terrel Bernard out with an ankle injury
Buffalo Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard required on-field attention from athletic trainers twice on Sunday afternoon. During a crucial moment with the Tennessee Titans down by seven and facing a 3rd & 11, Bernard attempted to push through the defensive line but was spun down and immediately grabbed his ankle.
He managed to walk off the field under his own power, and after spending some time in the medical tent, he was seen lightly jogging on the sideline as the Bills announced he was questionable to return due to the ankle injury.

After the Bills’ offense extended their lead to 24-10, Bernard was absent from the defense when they took the field again. Shortly after, the team announced he had been downgraded to out, and he was later observed walking slowly to the locker room.
Earlier in the game, Bernard was assessed for a head injury after medical personnel checked on him following a scuffle for a loose ball. After spending some time in the tent during the second quarter, he was cleared to return.
At the time he exited due to the ankle injury, Bernard was leading the Buffalo defense with six solo tackles and two assists.
