FOX Sports analyst Terry Bradshaw was left red-faced following a series of on-air errors.
During Sunday’s broadcast, Bradshaw was tasked with narrating highlights from Week Seven’s early games but mixed up his commentary. He began discussing Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb’s return while footage from the Buffalo Bills-Tennessee Titans game played in the background.
“Nick Chubb is back from his knee injury suffered in week two of last year, but it’s Deshaun—whoops, wrong one,” Bradshaw said as Bills quarterback Josh Allen connected with a receiver for a touchdown.
Curt Menefee quickly corrected him, stating, “This is Amari Cooper for Buffalo getting the touchdown. His Bills debut, with Buffalo winning 34-10.”
This gaffe adds to a string of awkward moments for Bradshaw, including a poorly received take on Russell Wilson and a confusing appearance by Tom Brady.
Menefee then attempted to redirect Bradshaw, setting him up to discuss the Browns-Bengals game: “Now Cincinnati at Cleveland. There’s Nick Chubb bouncing back from that knee injury last year…”
However, as Bradshaw barely commented on Chubb’s return, the footage shifted to a serious scene where Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a devastating Achilles injury. Menefee provided an update, emphasizing the injury’s severity: “That’s a bad one for Deshaun Watson. The Browns say it’s an Achilles injury,” he said, noting how Watson’s right Achilles appeared to snap. “Joe Burrow comes in, hooks up with Ja’Marr Chase. Cincinnati wins it 21-14.”
Later, while covering the London game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New England Patriots, Bradshaw attempted to regain his footing. “Trevor Lawrence trying to get two in a row. That is for Jacksonville as they stayed over that week,” he remarked, praising Lawrence’s performance and Brian Thomas’s catch.
However, he stumbled again while commenting on Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby’s touchdown. “Then Tank Br—Bigsby takes it in from one yard out. Jacksonville now with two victories on the year, 32-16 over New England,” he concluded, trying to wrap up the segment.
