Bills cut another talented player

The Bills announced on Tuesday that they have released running back Darrynton Evans.

Evans was designated to return from injured reserve on October 9 and had been practicing for the last three weeks. With his 21-day practice window coming to an end, the Bills needed to make a decision to avoid having him remain on injured reserve for the rest of the season.

This move allows the team to potentially re-sign him to the practice squad if he doesn’t sign with another team.

Evans was a third-round draft pick by the Titans in 2020 and joined the Bills in 2023. After being cut during preseason, he spent time on the Dolphins’ practice squad and was on the Bears’ active roster last season.

He signed a futures contract with the Bills after the last season ended.

Evans has yet to play in a game during the 2024 season.
