Syracuse football may make another run at 2026 four-star quarterback Gavin Sidwar.

As a sophomore during the 2023 season at La Salle, Sidwar completed 65.2% of his passes, throwing for 2,439 yards and 29 touchdowns.

As of now in the 2024 season, La Salle holds a perfect record of 10-0 and is ranked as the No. 1 program in Pennsylvania and the No. 36 team nationally, according to MaxPreps.

“Rutgers was great to me from the time they started recruiting me, but I felt like I needed to take more visits and I didn’t want to do it as a ‘committed’ prospect.” – Sidwar. It will be interesting to see if the Orange staff can arrange for Sidwar to visit Central New York again in the future.

In the 2026 recruiting cycle, Sidwar’s highest rankings come from On3, which ranks him No. 193 overall, No. 15 among quarterbacks, and No. 5 in Pennsylvania.
