In less than 24 hours, the Buffalo Bills will host the Kansas City Chiefs in one of the most highly anticipated games of the 2024 NFL season. Two of the league’s elite quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, will face off as Mahomes leads the Chiefs against Allen’s Bills. Mahomes knows Buffalo is a strong team, and Kansas City will need to bring its best game.
“We know it’s going to be a great challenge this next week,” Mahomes said. “Buffalo’s been playing great football for a while now, and we understand what it takes to go into an environment like that and give everything you’ve got to get a win. We know they’ll be fired up and trying to beat us, so we’ll have to execute at a higher level to come out on top.”
Mahomes will rely on standout tight end Travis Kelce to keep up his impressive play. Kelce leads the Chiefs with 60 receptions, 499 yards, and two touchdowns this season. On Saturday morning, Kelce made a statement on Instagram: “Too turnt to look back now,” signaling his focus and determination.
Ahead of the game, Mahomes emphasized that the Chiefs have the capability to win in all three phases, just as they did last weekend with a blocked field goal against the Denver Broncos. “We’re a really good football team,” Mahomes said. “Whatever it takes that day, guys are going to step up and make the play. Whether it’s defense, offense, or special teams, each person will step up when their number is called.”
“Being able to go into each week knowing that no matter what it takes, we’ll find a way to win, comes from experience and the strong culture we’ve built here.”
