Breaking: Braves ,Orioles In Clash With Interest Of Another 2-Time All Star.

The Atlanta Braves and Baltimore Orioles are reportedly among the teams interested in free-agent pitcher Nathan Eovaldi.

Eovaldi, who signed a two-year, $34 million contract with the Texas Rangers ahead of the 2023 season, had an impressive year. He made the All-Star team and played a key role in the Rangers’ World Series victory. In 2023, he finished with a 12-8 record and a 3.80 ERA over 170.2 innings in 29 starts.

Though Eovaldi will turn 35 before the start of the 2025 season, he has demonstrated consistent durability. Over the past four seasons, he has maintained a sub-4.00 ERA and made at least 20 starts each year.

This level of performance has attracted the interest of both playoff contenders, the Braves and Orioles, according to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi.

With the Braves likely to lose pitcher Max Fried in free agency, Eovaldi could be a strong candidate to fill that gap. Likewise, the Orioles are expected to lose ace Corbin Burnes and are looking for potential replacements.

Despite approaching his age-35 season, Eovaldi continues to draw interest from playoff contenders.
