Breaking: Virginia Tech Land Another Blockbuster Deal Sign Of a Top Star Player From a Good Team

The Virginia Tech Hokies men’s basketball program has officially added one of the top recruits in the nation to their roster for the upcoming season, as guard Jalen Evans has committed to the Hokies. Evans, a 6-foot-4 standout from Atlanta, Georgia, is considered one of the most dynamic players in his class, and his signing marks a major boost for head coach Mike Young’s program.

“Jalen is an exceptional talent with the ability to change the game on both ends of the floor,” said Coach Young. “His work ethic, leadership, and scoring ability will make an immediate impact on our team. We are excited to welcome him to the Hokie family.”

Evans was a standout at Westlake High School, averaging 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game in his senior season. Known for his explosive athleticism, impressive shooting range, and clutch performances, Evans helped lead his team to the state championship and earned All-State honors.

The Hokies have been building momentum in recent recruiting cycles, and the addition of Evans is seen as a key piece in their push for success in the ACC.

“I’m thrilled to be joining such a passionate program with a great coaching staff and a tradition of success,” said Evans. “I’m ready to get to work and help bring a championship to Virginia Tech.”

Evans will officially join the Hokies’ lineup in the fall and will look to make his mark in his freshman season.
