Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is no stranger to pressure, often delivering when it matters most on the field. However, this time, he faced a different kind of pressure as he prepared to take his relationship with Hailee Steinfeld to the next level.
Despite carefully planning his proposal, Allen admitted to feeling anxious, as he shared in Steinfeld’s newsletter, Beau Society.
“I was very nervous,” he revealed during a Q&A the couple recorded together.
His nerves ran so high that he was brought to tears multiple times throughout the day.
“I think what made me the most nervous was the fear of you finding out about the proposal,” Allen shared. “It was tough keeping secrets from you and getting others in your life to keep secrets too. Then, throughout the day, a song would play, and I’d tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be.”
