For the New England Patriots to pull off a stunning upset against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, they’ll need to do it without one of their key playmakers in the lineup.
The Patriots announced on Friday that cornerback Marcus Jones has been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Known for his consistent defensive play, Jones has also showcased his versatility on offense in recent weeks. Notably, he recorded an 18-yard reception on his lone offensive snap against the Cardinals. The Bills are likely well aware of his impact, given his memorable 48-yard touchdown catch against them two seasons ago.
The only other player the Patriots have ruled out for their Week 16 matchup against the Buffalo Bills is third-string running back JaMycal Hasty.
New England added a couple of players to their injury report on Friday. Both Jabrill Peppers and Keion White are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. Peppers is dealing with a hamstring injury, while White has a groin issue. Both players were limited participants in Friday’s practice.
Here is the Patriots full injury report:

The Buffalo Bills didn’t rule out any players for Sunday’s game, but seven players are listed as questionable. This includes three linebackers: Matt Milano (biceps/groin), Baylon Spector (calf), and Dorian Williams (elbow). Starting safeties Taylor Rapp (neck) and Damar Hamlin (rib) are also uncertain to play. The Patriots and Bills will kick off at Highmark Stadium on Sunday at 4:25 p.m.
